Myrtle Redmond, age 99 of Bristol Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023.
She was born in Pineville on March 23, 1924 to the late Scott and Attie Evans Onkst.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Mont Redmond, and her grandsons Stephen Wilder and Jamie Watts.
Myrtle attended the First Christian Church in Bristol, Virginia, and enjoyed quilt-making.
Left to cherish her memory, sons Ray Raymond of Abingdon, VA and Ed Redmond of Bristol, VA, daughters Shirley Wilder of Jonesville, VA and Judy Watts of Locust Grove, GA, grandchildren Robert Wilder, Mark Wilder, Michelle Thomas, and Todd Watts, 11 great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Oakmont Park in Bristol, as well as Miranda and others at Caris Hospice Bristol.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Boyd Bingham III presiding. Music will be provided by Mrs. Thomasa Risner.
Interment will immediately follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.
The family kindly request that all attendees wear a mask.
