Myrtle “Birdie” Ellen Davis Robertson, age 85, passed away on October 1, 2024 at her home while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 1,1939 in Williams Branch to the late Llyod and Clara Hurst Davis.
To know Myrtle was to love her. A social butterfly, she never met a stranger and enjoyed getting to know people. It didn’t matter what you wanted to talk about or what turn the conversation took, Myrtle could talk, talk, and then talk some more. She was a generous soul, always looking for an opportunity to help others when in need. No matter what life threw her way, Myrtle could look at any situation with a positive light and glass half full attitude. She spent many years enjoying travel with her family and seeing the sights of the world. All who knew Myrtle will miss her big personality and cherish the many conversations shared.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Maxine Collins, Helen Robbins, Betty Thore, Joe Henry Davis, Juanita Collins, James Everett Davis and Mary Hoskins.
Left to cherish her memory, loving husband of nearly 61 years Eddie Robertson, children Beverly Weddle and husband Jay, Cindy Lucas, and Steven Robertson, grandchildren Alex Higgins, Brynna Higgins and Michaela Albert, great-grandchildren Isabella Albert, Broderick Albert and Erik Higgins, siblings Sadie McGeorge, Joyce Reynolds, Carolyn Browning, Julia Kay Hoskins, Earl Lester Davis and Llyod Thomas Davis Jr., as well as a host of many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
A private Graveside Service will be held at the Hurst Cemetery, Pineville, Kentucky.
Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is honored to serve the Robertson Family.
