Nadean Meredith, born October 20, 1936, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service to her family, church, and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Ollie Emery; her beloved husband of 61 years, J. C. Meredith; her brothers, Otis Emery and James Emery; and her sisters, Maggie Emery Mills, Morine Emery Jones, and Norma Emery Rodgers.
Nadean is survived by her two devoted daughters, Judy (Larry) Grandey and Becky (Alan) Neely; her cherished grandchildren, Jamie (Nate) Snuggerud, Austin Neely, and Meredith Neely; her great-grandchild, Rayceton Neely; and her brother, Everett Emery, along with a host of nieces and nephews; special friends of the family, Eddie Jones, Ronnie, Shelia, and Rhonda McDowell; and her loving caregivers, Lois, Kisha, Sharron, Linda and Joy.
Nadean was a faithful member of Binghamtown Baptist Church, where she and her husband worshiped for more than 60 years. Her faith and church family were central to her life and brought her great comfort and joy. For 55 years, Nadean worked at Commercial Bank, where she became a beloved and familiar presence. She was truly a staple of the bank, known for her dedication, warmth, and genuine care for both customers and coworkers. She deeply loved her bank family as well as her church family.
Above all, Nadean treasured time spent with her family. She found great joy in cooking and hosting large family meals, filling her home with laughter, love, and the comfort of good food shared together.
Nadean will be remembered for her steadfast commitment to those she loved, her generous spirit, and the many lives she touched throughout her long and meaningful life.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility and Middlesboro ARH for their exceptional and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Nadean’s honor be made to the Gateway Christian School, 1 Gateway Drive, Middlesboro, Ky. 40965.
The family of Nadean Meredith will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Binghamtown Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Binghamtown Baptist Church with Dr. William Boyd Bingham officiating.
Entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Mr. Garry Bingham presiding. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home to follow in procession.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Alan Neely, Austin Neely, Nate Snuggerud, Eddie Jones, Larry Grandey and Everett Emery.
