Ned Stephens, age 58, a resident of Middlesboro, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2022 with his loving family at his side.
He was born in Middlesboro on October 29, 1963 to the late Abner and Lucy Slusher Stephens.
If you had the privilege to meet Ned, you immediately fell in love with him. He was such a sweet blessing to his family and many others. God’s purpose for Ned was to bring sunshine and joy wherever he went, and he did just that. He never met a stranger and always made friends no matter where he was. He had a sweet, precious spirit and a kind, loving heart. Ned’s ray of light will be sorely missed but will forever shine bright in the hearts of his family, friends and all who were blessed to have known him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Odie Ray Stephens, nieces Brooke Lambert, Dorothy Leigh Stephens, and nephew Scott Patterson.
Left to cherish his precious memory, loving brothers and sisters, Phyllis Patterson, Robert Stephens, Deborah Muncy and husband Carlis, Pauline Dixon and husband Bob, and Ernest Stephens and wife Debbie, special friend Zel Rose, as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
A special and heartfelt expression of gratitude to Middlesboro A.R.H., and the Doctors, Nurses and Staff, as well as Dr. Thomas Epperson and Dr. Amber Jacobs. A very special thank you to Dr. Mohamed Shanshal, and very special A.R.H. Home Health Nurse Deborah Roberts for the loving care shown to our Ned. He was so blessed to have each and every one of you, all of whom he loved so much.
