NEVADA HURST

Nevada Hurst, of Pineville, KY, passed away on August 1, 2021 at the age of 94. She was born to the late Edward H. Harris and Laura Robbins Harris on May 7, 1927. Nevada was a founding member of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church since 1943 were she served as a song leader for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Hurst, brothers, Eugene Harris, Colbert Harris and Samuel Harris, sisters, Gladys Wilson, Reba Saylor, Alta Smith and Margie Brock, and grandson Barry Hurst.

Left to cherish her memory, loving children, Wayne and Sue Hurst, Steven and Delores Hurst and Kathy and Tommy Brambley, sister Irene Jones, grandchildren, Beth Hurst, Scott Hurst, Courtney and Todd Joyce, Adam and Sequoyah Brambley and Chad and Brooklyn Brambley,  great-grandchildren Anthony Hurst, Skylar Gray, Gracie Joyce and Braden Joyce, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family of Nevada Hurst will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Pineville, KY.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Pineville, KY with Rev. Chuck Taylor and Rev. Ray Smith presiding. Music will be provided by Tiwanna Grimm, Skylar Gray and Sequoyah Brambley. Special piano playing will be provided by Gracie Joyce.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday , August 4, 2021 at the Hurst Cemetery, Pineville, KY.
