NITA BANDY

Nita Bandy, age 68, a resident of Ewing, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 24, 2022 while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 4, 1953 to the late Harry Thomas and Margaret Holbrook Vernon.

Nita was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Companion and Friend. She loved her pet sugar gliders, especially her baby Cody. She also enjoyed practicing calligraphy in her spare time. All who were blessed to have known her will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Bandy, infant daughters Heather Mechelle and Misty Necole, and brothers Charles Vernon and Richard Vernon.

Left to cherish her memory, long-time companion and fiancé Kenneth Meadows, daughter Tonyia Miracle, son-in-law Casey Miracle, grandchildren Ryan Miracle (Rochelle) and Evan Miracle, great-grandchildren Kennedy and Ashtyn, brother Harry Vernon, sister Shelia Smith, as well as a host of many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to niece Cari Henderson.

A Memorial Service for Nita Bandy will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Green Hills Funeral Home. Family & friends will fellowship beginning at 6:00 p.m. until the memorial service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Green Hills Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
