PATRICIA "PATTY" GILBERT

Patricia “Patty” Gilbert, born October 31, 1960 to Virgil and Eddie Aileen Gilbert, passed on January 13, 2025; going home to the with the Lord at the age of 64.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Eddie Aileen Patterson Gilbert, husband Michael Gregory, and son Michael “Junior” Gregory.

Left to mourn her passing, son Patrick Gregory (Abby), daughter Jazzy Brown, brothers Petie Gilbert (Liz), Eddie Gilbert (Jessica), and Floyd Patterson (Khristie), grandchildren Hailey Gregory, Gavin Gregory, Jamal Gregory, Jamarion Gregory, Kya Capps, Quinton Hill, Indika Gregory and Henleigh Idol, special aunt Brenda Patterson, Uncle James Patterson, special daughter-in-law Avetta Gregory, special cousin Gloria Patterson, special friends Liz Simmons, Bobbi Banks and Danielle Tallman, as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to name, but all who will miss her so dearly.

Patty loved nothing more than cooking and being with her grandkids. A cook most of her life, she always had a meal prepared and you were always welcome, and well fed. Patty’s memory will live on through her family, and every special reminder of her cherished.

The family would like to extend an expression of gratitude to the staff of Middlesboro Nursing and Rehab for their excellent care of Patty.

Homegoing Services for Patricia “Patty” Gilbert will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas A. Simmons presiding. Music will be provided by Tess Ford and Amanda Roberts.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Interment will be private.
