PAUL PHIPPS

Paul Edward Phipps, age 63, of Barbourville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee while surrounded by his family.

He was born in Pineville, Kentucky on September 21, 1958 to the late Oscar and Irene Phipps.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Charles Phipps, and sister Brenda Phipps.

Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors. He was a proud Coal Miner, working for many different mines such as Consolidated Coal, Sandy Fork, Alpha and P&M. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Left to cherish his memory, son Steven Phipps and wife Brooke, daughter Whitney Godsey and husband Derek, grandchildren Haley Phipps, Savannah Phipps, Spencer Phipps, Jordan Godsey, Camden Godsey, and Harper Godsey, siblings Bill Phipps, Bobby Phipps, Sharon Callebs, and Janice Brown, as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

A special and heartfelt thank you to his close friends, Robbie Fuson, Terry Carrol Mike Carroll, and Sammy Buchanon.

The family of Paul Phipps will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Buchanon and Rev. Paul Goodin officiating.

Graveside Services will immediately follow at the Carroll Cemetery, Highway 92, Pineville, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be Rex Callebs, Gage Callebs, Spencer Phipps, Matthew Calloway, Derek Godsey, and Robert Dunaway.
