Phyllis Lee Jones, age 65, a resident of New Tazewell, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on June 22, 2025 with her loving son at her side.
She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on September 7, 1959 to the late Grant and Cora Lee Cupp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Tim Jones, and siblings Irene Clonce, Alice Eads, Chester Cupp, Doyle Cupp, Luther Cupp and Mack Cupp.
Phyllis had a sweet spirit and a heart full of love. She let that love flow to her family and to her companions, her dogs. Coming from a large family, she enjoyed nothing more than their company, and everyone being together under one roof. Her love for others and animals will continue to be remembered in all the wonderful memories of Phyllis.
Left to cherish her memory, son Jason Jones, siblings Wanda Cupp, Kenneth Cupp and wife Mary, James Cupp and wife Marjorie, and Herb Cupp, grandchildren Paul Beaupry and wife Monica, Jeremiah Rice, Hunter Jones and wife Atreann, Ivy Jones and Emma Jones, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends too many to name, but all who will miss her so dearly.
The family of Phyllis Jones will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Cosby officiating.
Graveside Services to immediately follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.
