REMONA JEAN FUSON

Remona Jean Fuson, age 61, of Frakes, Kentucky passed away on November 14, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 30, 1963 in Frakes, Kentucky, a daughter of the late James (Scottie) Scott and Erma Scott, who survives.

She was a loving wife to her husband of 39 years, Doug Fuson.  She was an attentive and caring mother to Amber (Erik) Moore and mamaw to Valen and Zane who she loved dearly.  Remona was a faithful sister and friend to Lee Fuson, Sandy and Terry Partin, Jim and Lavonne Fuson, Todd and Shana Fuson, Ancil Blackburn, and Jim Scott, and the late Pansy Scott.  There was a special bond between each of her nieces and nephews who affectionately called her Sissy Red and Mona.  She was well loved by her extended family at Frakes School Center, where she worked for 19 years.

Before her battle with dementia, she was a proud breast cancer survivor.  She deeply loved and was in turn loved by her church family at New Vine Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Bluegrass Hospice for the special care that they gave Remona during her illness.

The family of Remona Fuson will receive friends Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Green Hills Funeral Home from 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 2:00p.m. at New Vine Missionary Baptist Church in Chenoa with Reverend Ken Kishpaugh and Reverend Jordan Graves officiating.  Music will be provided by the church singers from New Vine.

Graveside services will immediately follow at the Scott Cemetery in Frakes, Kentucky.  Her nephews will serve as pall bearers.
