Roland Fuson, age 78, of New Tazewell, Tennessee passed away March 9, 2026.
He was born on December 16, 1947 in Frakes, Kentucky and was the son of Sherman and Georgie Thacker Fuson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by dear wife, Soni Fuson, grandson Kody Fuson, sisters Jessie Stuart, Elease Jones, Betty Stephens, and Rowene Partin, and his brother Carl B. Fuson.
Roland was a bargain hunter, trader, and a real deal maker. He loved to shop and trade for antiques, collectibles, or anything special that caught his eye. He enjoyed going to flea markets where he could be found browsing the aisles and tables for treasures and he would make a deal before the deed was done; price tags were just jumping off points for Roland; he would make an offer and then the selling and buying game would begin.
Left to cherish his memory, are his sons Kelly Fuson (Lillie) and Chris Fuson (Mary), brothers James Fuson and Arlie Fuson (Thelma), grandchildren Maranda Stansbury (Jesse), Kurtis Fuson, Corey Fuson (Rushae), Jerry Clark, and Amanda Clark, great-grandchildren Ella Stansbury, Konner Fuson, Adam Fuson, Mercy Fuson, Mavrick Fuson, Zoey Taylor, Nevaeh Fuson, and Mylah Fuson, special daughter-in-law Teresa Chapman, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
The family of Roland Fuson will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Parker officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sherman Fuson Cemetery in Frakes, Kentucky in Whitley County.
Pallbearers will be Kurtis Fuson, Corey Fuson, Roddie Leath, Jesse Stansbury, Terry Stansbury, and Rick Fuson.
Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is honored to serve the Fuson Family.
