Rosie Lee Givens, age 78, of Pineville, Kentucky went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 15, 2026 while surrounded by the love of her dear family.
She was born July 9, 1947, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Louise Mason. In addition to her parents, she was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 59 years, Rev. Deboyce “Bo” Givens, siblings Tinsley Mason, Edward Mason, Jesse Mason, Polly Jackson, Vanna Miracle, Genevieve Turner and Franklin Mason.
Rosie was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother; always showering her family with tender love and care. She was precious and so very special to her family - a constant source of joy for those around her. Rosie adored being surrounded by her loved ones, cooking them a meal and simply enjoying the presence of those who meant the most to her. A true homemaker she kept her household together, always cooking, cleaning and tending to anything she could to make it a home.
Rosie loved the Lord with all heart and was Saved at any early age. She was a long-time member of Varilla Baptist Church where she loved to worship when she was able to attend.
Her legacy and love will live on through her large family and the many generations that all started because of the love of Bo and Rosie.
Left to cherish her memory, her children Junior (Teresa) Givens of Pineville, David Givens of Pineville, Linda (Arthur) Cupp of Barbourville, Kay (Bruce) Cupp of Pineville, Frank Givens of Pineville and James Mason of Pineville, grandchildren Ashley (Caleb) Cline, Chelsea Givens, Whitney (Emanuel) Saylor, Lindsey (Josh) Cupp, Brandon (Brianna) Givens, Jennifer (Eric) Jordan, Brittany (Nick) Frye, Krystal (Timmy) Shephard, Kaley (Tyler) Oxendine, Karly (John) Partin and Kiley (Terry) Farmer and 24 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Bluegrass Care Navigators for their excellent care and love to Rosie during her illness.
