Scott Anthony Owens, age 60, died May 15, 2024 at the Tazewell Medical Center. Scott was born April 6, 1964 in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Charles Edward "Ed" Owens and Lois Arlena Irwin Owens and a brother, Timothy James Owens.
He is survived by his wife Pam Orick and step-daughter Amy Marcum Morrison, son, Joshua Scott Owens, brother Charles Edward "Chuck" Owens III and wife Carolyn Sue Quillen of Middlesboro, Kentucky and his three grandchildren, Joshua, Alex, and Madisyn. Scott leaves behind eight first cousins, many other relatives and many friends. He leaves behind his special dog named Milo who will wait for him to come back home the rest of his life.
Scott was a member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church since his childhood. Scott worked at many jobs in his life but his specialty was a heavy equipment operator. His work as an excavator operator for over thirty years was exemplary.
Scott loved to joke with anyone who would listen. He had an outgoing personality and loved to talk with people, no matter who there were.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Garry Bingham presiding. Music will be provided by Mrs. Thomasa Risner.
Graveside Services to immediately follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky.
