SHELLEY RUSSELL

Shelley Lane Russell, age 41, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away December 4, 2023 at St Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born September 14, 1982 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Danny Russell and Rebecca Russell, who survives.

Shelley enjoyed spending time with her family and loved playing basketball. She loved being in the mountains, spending time outdoors with friends and family, and especially loved to go four wheeling.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother Francis Russell, aunt Sandy Johnson, uncle Roger Russell, and cousin Varnale Hatfield.

Left to cherish her memory, her mother Rebecca Russell, son Logan Gibson, daughter Emily Gibson, brother Danny Russell Jr, special friend and companion Lonnie Gibson, grandchildren Jayden Gibson and Maleah Fleenor, aunt Karen Johnson, uncle Roger Lephew, and a host of other cousin, relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.

The Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the Green Hills Funeral Home.  Graveside services will follow in the Hurst Cemetery in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Green Hills Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
