SHIRLEY MARSEE

Shirley Lee Marsee, age 68, a resident of Ewing, Virgnia went to be with the Lord Friday, August 4, 2023.

She was born August 11, 1954 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania to the late Ellis and Helen Morris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Sister Joyce Morris and her brothers Ronnie and Ricky Morris.

Shirley was saved at Mountain View Baptist Church in her early twenties and a standing member of the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved spending time with her family the most always putting them first and working hard to ensure they were always taken care of.  (Christmas was Shirley’s favorite Holiday)  She loved seeing her family together and Happy. 

In addition to her love for her family, Shirley loved to shop.  Her Saturday trips to Wal-Mart were a staple in her life. (Always looking for a new purse)  When you visited Shirley she was always cleaning or reading a good book.  She loved Ice Cream, especially Blizzards. (Where there was always a couple on hand in the freezer)

She is survived by her loving husband Troy Marsee of 53 years of unchanging love through all life’s ups and downs, Daughters Angela Bordonaro, Sharon Taylor and husband Matthew, Carrie Parker and husband Casey, Kimberly Marsee, 11 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Brothers, 4 Sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Bryant and Rev. Scott Zumbrum officiating.  Music will be provided by Shirley’s daughters and Mr. KJ Zumbrum.

Interment will follow in the Lee Family Cemetery in Rose Hill, Virginia.  Pallbearers will be Eddie Bordonaro, Joseph Bordonaro, Matthew Taylor, Casey Parker, Caleb Justice and Jessie Bussell.
