SYLVIA WOOTON

Sylvia Crawford Wooton, age 75, of Middlesboro, Kentucky was called home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2023 at the Middlesboro ARH Hospital.

She was born May 2, 1948 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late James Franklin Crawford and Margaret Russell Crawford.

In addition to her parents, she was also proceeded in death by her brother Raymond Crawford.

Prior to her retirement she worked for the State of Kentucky for 25 years. She worked at the Middlesboro Mall for 7 ½ years and then worked at Walmart for 8 years. She was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. 
Sylvia was baptized at a young age at Binghamtown Baptist Church.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter Paula Michelle Wooton, brothers Melvin (Iris) Crawford, Jim Crawford, sister-in-law Del Crawford, special great-great nieces Madison Morgan and Alexia Crawford, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives friends who will miss her dearly.

The family of Sylvia Wooton will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Richard Barnett officiating. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 8, 2023 at Russell Cemetery in Speedwell, Tennessee.
