Tevis Louise Brock Reed, age 82 of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Baptist Health of Lexington with her loving family at her side.
She was born July 24, 1942 to the late Clyde and Iva Bruner Brock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Geral Daniel Cook, Daughter Katrena Cook, Granddaughter Amanda Upton and Brother Charlie Brock.
A heart overflowing with love, Tevis loved Jesus and attending church at Monarch Church of God, where she was a faithful member. She also greatly loved her family, and nothing meant more to her than to see them happy. Simply spending time with them was a blessing to her, especially if it was one of her many trips to Dollywood with them. She also enjoyed creating and crafting with her hands, especially sewing, crocheting and working with ceramics. Tevis appreciated the simple things of life, such as watching the sunrise in the morning, or being with the ones she loved. Her sweet smile and deep love for the Lord and her family will be remembered in every sunrise, as will the wonderful Wife, Mother and Grandmother that we were blessed with for many wonderful years.
Left to cherish her memory, loving Husband Wayne Reed, Son James Cook and wife Tammy, Grandchildren Lynn Sproles and husband David, Rachel Upton, Wesley Upton, Kristy Berry, Ashley Scott and husband Jason, and Josh Cook, Great-Grandchildren Danielle Miracle, Leigha Sproles, Colton Scott, Justin Scott, Landon Berry, Mason Berry, Destiny Cook and Kinsley Scott, Great-Great-Grandchildren John Tyler Goodin and Samuel Robinson, Step-Children Terry Reed and Barbara Labass, Brothers George Brock and wife Loraine, Clyde Brock Jr. and wife Sherrie, and Calvin Brock, as well as a host of more great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relative and many friends who will miss her so dearly.
Graveside Services for Tevis Reed will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Paul Gilbert officiating. Music will be provided by Howard Warwick, Jason Scott and the Monarch Church Singers.
Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is honored to serve the Reed family.
