WANDA METCALF

Wanda Harrell Metcalf, age 85, a resident of Middlesboro, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2025 while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on October 22, 1939, the daughter of the late Herbert and Iva Dotson Harrell.

Wanda loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church to worship. She was a life-long member of Miller’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church as well as the Miller’s Chapel Ladies Circle – a group of ladies she adored spending time with. When she wasn’t at church, Wanda enjoyed traveling and spending time with her loving family. Although she will be missed so dearly, we can take comfort in knowing that her faith has now become sight.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.M. Metcalf, sisters Nancy Sowders and Mary Lou Poore, and brother Tommy Harrell.

Left to cherish her memory, loving children Elaine Hunley and husband Jimmy, Bert Metcalf and wife Willena, and Steve Metcalf, sister Linda Cupp and husband Don, grandchildren Monica (Josh) Marsee, Jimmy (Lyndsey) Hunley, Rebecca Metcalf, Chris Eversole Metcalf, Wanda Lynn Rynerson, Miranda (Daniel) Saylor, Rachel (Zach Brock) Metcalf, Travis Logan Metcalf, and T.J. Metcalf, special cousin Betty Jobe, caregivers who gave their love and exceptional care, Anna Laws, Rita Lou Williams and Renee Johnston, as well as many great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends too numerous to name.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt expression of gratitude and thanks to the Harrogate Health Group and Suncrest Hospice for their care, love and support to Wanda during her time of need.

Visitation for Wanda Metcalf will be held at 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Green Hills Funeral Home, with Rev. Bob Terry officiating, music will be provided by The Terry Family.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside Services to immediately follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky, with Jimmy Hunley, Josh Marsee, Joey Cupp, Jeff Cupp, Travis Metcalfe, Zach Brock, and Daniel Saylor serving as pallbearers.
