WILLIAM ARTHUR BEAMISH

William Arthur Beamish, age 64, of Speedwell, Tennessee passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024 with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Robert and Carol Drenthe Beamish.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son William Drake Beamish and his grandmother Marie Drenthe.

William enjoyed going to his church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he was a member.  He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, whether it be gospel, country, rock and roll, you name it; he enjoyed the melodies, the harmonies, the voices, the instruments; the way it all came together brought him so much pleasure.  William was very sociable and was definitely a people person, and it didn’t take long for strangers to become friends.  His ham radio hobby broadened the scope of his communication and friendships worldwide.  He was very interested in astronomy, star gazing, and as he termed it, “space watching” always reminded him of just how small he was in comparison to the vast universe and the heavens. The constellations, set in their course, brought out his curious nature and inquisitive mind. William’s most precious times, however, were spent with his family, whom he loved very much.

Left to mourn his passing, his wife Mary Jane Beamish, sons Michael Beamish and Matthew Guthrie, granddaughter August Palmquist, nephew Jimmy Guthrie, and many other relatives and friends form both far and near who will miss him dearly.

All services for William Arthur Beamish will be private.
