WILLIAM "BUDDY" D. FLEEMON

William D. “Buddy” Fleemon, age 78, a resident of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Middlesboro A.R.H. while surrounded by his family.

He was born in Middlesboro, KY on March 22, 1943 to the late Charles and Iva Whitmore Fleemon.

Buddy met his wife, Shirley Fleemon and was wed on February 22, 1964. They spent their time in Middlesboro raising their two sons, David and Bill. Buddy worked nights and weekends at the Middlesboro Roller Rink for many years. He was an employee of J.R. Hoe in Middlesboro for 52 years. Buddy was Saved and Baptized on October 15, 1961 at Northside Baptist Church. We have comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved wife.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Hatfield Fleemon, sisters Betty Idol Smith and Irene Laughter, mother-in-law Ange Kirby, father’s-in-law Calvin Hatfield, Kenneth Ramsey and Freeman Kirby, brother-in-law Edward Hatfield, sister-in-law Wilma Jean Webb, niece Judy Idol Gamble, nephews Bob Idol, Scott Hamlin and James D. Hamlin II, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish his memory, sons David Fleemon and Bill Fleemon, sister Mary Elizabeth Lovett (Worth), sister-in-law Jo Bryant (Clyde), nieces Cathy Idol Owens (Andrew), Judy Brady Sharp, Pam O’Connell (Mike), Nedra Challander and Phyllis Gibson (David), nephews Richard Idol, Ray Lovett, John Lovett (Shelley), Edward Hatfield Jr. (Kris), Johnny Hamlin and Michael Russell (Robin), special friend Joel Wilson, in addition to many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

The Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Brooke Laughter and the Middlesboro A.R.H. Staff for their excellent care.

The family of Buddy Fleemon will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Bullock and Rev. Father Aelred Dean presiding.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Mountainview Cemetery, Harrogate, TN.
